Selected for use on every U.S.
Navy active Fleet, Reserve, and Military Sealift Command
vessel, this portable high intensity Xenon searchlight
is hand held, multi-purpose and has wide uses in Force
Protection. It delivers 7.5 million candlepower and can
illuminate subjects 1.5 miles away using visible white
light and 1000 meters away when attaching a covert infrared
filter. This system allows personnel to provide security
on a temporary basis; especially at the beginning of a
deployment or until a more permanent type of illumination
can be established.
The Maxa Beam is sufficiently light weight (3.2 lbs),
and capable of easily being carried by a foot patrol all
night while changing and recharging the detachable batteries. Its
eye-safe powerful strobe mode can be deployed for non-lethal
or less-than-lethal applications. The Maxa Beam Searchlight’s
documented performance as a force multiplier when employed
by night vision equipped personnel has led to its selection
by the U.S. Army’s Rapid Equipping Force, Fort Belvoir,
Virginia as the portable searchlight of choice. Today
the Maxa Beam Searchlights and related technologies are:
• Guarding
America’s borders
• Serving
our U.S. Military worldwide (every branch)
• Enabling
our Homeland Defense Department Agencies throughout America’s cities
• Helping
local law enforcement and fire and emergency services in their
everyday effort
to protect and serve our country
The Maxa Beam product line integrates the unique lightweight
Xenon searchlight with a series of rechargeable batteries,
automatic conditioning chargers and selective band pass
filtration systems from UV to IR. The IR filter
enhances GEN-3 night vision devices and IR sensitive CCD
camera/camcorder’s capabilities, improving both range
and definition. The Maxa Beam has been verified by the
US Navy’s NAVSEA testing center in Crane, Indiana
and is the most powerful handheld searchlight available
in the world. |
