Selected for use on every U.S. Navy active Fleet, Reserve, and Military Sealift Command vessel, this portable high intensity Xenon searchlight is hand held, multi-purpose and has wide uses in Force Protection. It delivers 7.5 million candlepower and can illuminate subjects 1.5 miles away using visible white light and 1000 meters away when attaching a covert infrared filter.  This system allows personnel to provide security on a temporary basis; especially at the beginning of a deployment or until a more permanent type of illumination can be established.
